Ensuring Consistent Quality for Graphite Components

Graphite components used in vacuum furnaces, semiconductor equipment, photovoltaic systems, and metallurgical applications require stable material properties, accurate dimensions, and reliable performance under extreme working conditions.
At Huixian Jincheng Abrasive & Graphite Mold Factory, quality control covers the complete manufacturing process, including graphite material verification, CNC machining control, dimensional inspection, and final product approval.
With more than 40 years of graphite manufacturing experience, we apply systematic inspection procedures to ensure customized graphite components meet customer drawings, technical specifications, and application requirements.

Material Control

The performance of graphite components depends on material properties such as density, purity, grain structure, and thermal stability.
Before machining, incoming graphite materials are evaluated according to application requirements and customer specifications.

Material control may include

Graphite grade verification
Bulk density inspection
Ash content and purity verification
Material appearance and structural inspection
For high-temperature applications, suitable graphite grades are selected according to different performance requirements.

Typical considerations include

Bulk density: Up to approximately 1.88 g/cm³ for high-density isostatic graphite grades
Ash content: Low-ash graphite materials available for applications requiring higher purity
Material inspection reports can be provided according to customer requirements.

Machining Process Control

Customized graphite components often require complex structures and precise dimensions for proper installation and equipment operation. During CNC machining, production parameters are controlled according to customer drawings, CAD files, and technical specifications.
Our machining control includes:

Drawing review before production

CNC machining process monitoring

Critical dimension verification during processing

First Article Inspection (FAI) for qualified projects

Dimensional Inspection

Dimensional accuracy is essential for graphite components used in semiconductor equipment, vacuum furnaces, and industrial systems.

Finished components are inspected using precision measuring equipment, including

  • Digital calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Height gauges
  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection when required

Inspection focuses on

  • Overall dimensions
  • Critical tolerances
  • Hole positions
  • Geometric features
  • Surface condition

For precision components, dimensional control can achieve tolerances according to customer drawings, with critical features capable of reaching ±0.01 mm when required by product design and machining conditions.

Final Inspection

Before shipment, finished graphite components undergo final inspection to confirm compliance with order requirements.

01/

Final inspection includes:

  • Appearance inspection
  • Dimensional verification
  • Quantity confirmation
  • Packaging inspection
02/

Quality documentation can be provided based on customer requirements, including:

  • Material Test Report (MTR)
  • First Article Inspection Report (FAI)
  • Dimensional inspection records

Export Packaging

Graphite components require careful protection during international transportation due to their lightweight structure and impact sensitivity.
Before shipment, products are prepared with:

Surface cleaning to remove machining residue

Protective wrapping against contamination

Moisture protection during transportation

Reinforced wooden packaging for fragile components
